Updated Phone Consultation SOPs

To ensure consistent, respectful, and patient-centered care, we’ve updated our phone consultation SOPs based on direct feedback from patients.
New Guidelines for All Phone Consultations
1. Minimum Duration
Each consultation must last at least 7 minutes, unless the patient clearly states they have nothing further to discuss and ends the call voluntarily.
2. Mandatory Ending Question
Before ending the consultation, doctors must ask:
“Are you happy to end the consultation?”
This ensures the patient feels heard and in control.
3. Reassurance is Required
Always provide brief verbal reassurance and ask if the patient has any new or remaining concerns.
4. End-of-Consultation Checklist
Before you close the session, confirm the following:
